Carmen and Mike

Green Bay, Wisconsin
The lights dimmed. Mike led his new bride onto the dance floor, squaring his shoulders and providing a strong frame to support her as they dipped and twirled around the room. And Carmen, adoring eyes latched on her new husband, smiled and laughed at the blissful celebration that led to this moment: man and wife, giving and taking, supporting and counterbalancing one another. Carmen and Mike seem to have figured out this relational dance throughout their courtship, leading to this delightful day in early December. The ceremony happened at Green Bay Community Church, Carmen’s childhood church home. A whirlwind photo/video session at Pamperin Park and Lambeau Field (and one quick stop at one of Carmen and Mike’s favorite dive bars) followed, ending at the Olde 41, a banquet hall located in the Vandervest Harley-Davidson dealership in Green Bay. Tunes were provided by Extreme Entertainment, a well-informed DJ company with excellent taste in music and reading the crowd! Fun was provided by everyone in attendance…but none of it would have been possible without Carmen and Mike. Thank you for allowing us into your world and celebrating alongside you. May you dance confidently into your future together!

Claire and Ben

Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
She gently slipped her wrist through her dad’s arm and faced the doors. He looked down at his shoes in anticipation of his world changing. As the doors opened, Claire and Ben looked boldly into their future; one they would share together as husband and wife! What a treat to hear their story throughout this beautiful day of celebration–they met in high school at age 14, and realized over the years they couldn’t do without each other. Prep happened in adjacent villas at the Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva, WI, followed by a lovely ceremony at St. Peter’s Church in East Troy. A quick photo/video stop at Yerkes Observatory (TOTALLY awesome location!), then back to The Geneva National where the party lasted all night long with the band Chasin Mason. Photography provided by Chrissy Rose Photography. Claire and Ben, best wishes for the next chapter in your story! Thanks for letting us be a part of your day!

Liz and Jake

Harvard, Illinois
An unseasonably warm breeze ruffled the lure in Jake’s front breast pocket. An avid fisherman, Jake’s hobby leant an appropriate metaphor for his relationship with his beautiful bride: patience and a quiet determination eventually won her affection and led to this perfect fall day where Liz and Jake pledged their love as man and wife. In keeping with the theme of hometown weddings, we know Liz and Jake from our church, Willow Creek, and it changed the pace of our season to know a majority of the bridal party and guests attending! Friends helped decorate the room at the Starline Factory in Harvard, IL, where both ceremony and reception took place. One of our pastors, Steve Carter, performed the meaningful ceremony full of words Liz and Jake wrote themselves. Tony Sorrentino and Gina Young, two Willow Creek musicians, provided live music for the first half of the evening, and one of the groomsmen MC’d the party. Liz and Jake, thank you for inviting us to capture this amazing celebration of your love and commitment. We know only good things will follow! God Bless!

Melissa-Ann and Kyle- Algonquin Illinois Wedding Feature Film

Algonquin, Illinois
Sunshine, blue skies, bright smiles; a day full of expectation and local flavor. Kyle quietly celebrated the beginning of his wedding day with his guys at the Holiday Inn Express in Algonquin, IL. Melissa-Ann prepped with her gal-pals (and four-legged companion Libby) at her home a short distance away. Both were giddy that their long time of planning and waiting had finally come to this: the perfect autumn day to say “I do!” That’s never a bad thing, especially when you say it to your best friend…in your hometown…surrounded by the people dearest to your heart. A lovely ceremony at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cary led to an awesome photo/video session (photo by Chase the Wind Photography) on the Prairie Path in Algonquin, then on to a lively reception at the Turnberry Country Club in Lakewood, where tunes provided by BackThird Entertainment kept everyone hopping late into the evening. Mel and Kyle, thank you for letting us share in your day…especially in our hometown too! Best wishes! Enjoy their special feature…

Sarah and Grant

Harvard, Illinois
Sunshine spilled through the floor-to-ceiling windows as the audience rose in their pews. Sarah swept up the stairs at the back of the chapel, accompanied by her father, and steadied herself on his arm before proceeding down the aisle. Grant’s eyes filled with the sight of his bride, joy and expectation and celebration meeting in one perfect moment. Sarah and Grant’s September wedding at the Starline Factory in Harvard, IL reflected all the patience and planning of the venue itself: a work in progress already showing the fruits of their labors. As the Starline’s renovated spaces showcased gorgeous exposed brick, restored hardwood floors, and deep oiled wood accents, Sarah and Grant’s relationship sparkled and shone through the meaningful ceremony (performed by Grant’s uncle), the details of the reception (a party designed to include every guest), and the commitment the bride and groom gladly made to each other. A cord of three strands is not easily broken. Nor will their relationship be. Sarah and Grant, thank you for letting us into your story of waiting and working. We know you’re set on a solid foundation and wish you the best to follow!

Nicole and Ryan

Kewaunee, Wisconsin
Pearls. Crystals. Lace. Hand-scooped ice cream. A tandem-bike-turned-planter. All had their place in Nicole and Ryan’s beautiful vintage wedding at the Hollyhock House & Gardens in Kewaunee, WI. A charming location for a charming couple, Nicole and Ryan worked hard throughout the day to make sure every detail was perfect, from quaint picture clusters to handmade gourmet cupcakes to the groom lending a hand to tie down the tent during one of the many downpours. Even the rain added charm to the day, gilding the flowers with pearls and crystals of their own. Nicole and Ryan, may your lives be gilded with unexpected beauty and thoughtful expressions of joy, just as your wedding revealed. Thank you for letting us capture your day!

Cathy and Gil

Chicago, Illinois

A Southern gentleman. An urban belle. A beautiful union in the heart of Chicago. Cathy and Gil’s day combined all the good things into a chic, classy day: a handpicked array of attendants, meaningful words written and spoken, and most importantly, a steady faith that undergirds them both. The Westin River North provided the prep space, and the Galleria Marchetti hosted both the ceremony and reception. The party kept going late into the night, and touching, hilarious speeches entertained during dinner. Throughout it all, we could see the bride and groom quietly glowing, knowing that their long wait and commitment to uphold and respect their partner was paying off. Many many congratulations, Cathy and Gil! It was an honor to capture your day. Enjoy their Feature Film…

Namratha and Joe

Neenah, Wisconsin
A cool breeze blew across the lake, gently fluttering the fabric draped around the tent set up in Namratha’s childhood backyard in Neenah, WI. Guests flowed steadily from the parking area next door, anticipating the community and celebration of this two-day event. Namratha and Joe’s wedding was not just a pledge of unity between the two of them, but also a pledge between two families, two cultures, two lifestyles. Two becoming one. Ashley and Danielle from A Midwestern Bride kept the day organized. The staff at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel provided a beautiful location for the reception, just a few miles north in Appleton. Capping off the evening was a surprise Bollywood performance by Namratha’s friends and family! Namratha and Joe, thank you for letting us join you throughout your day. Thank you for letting us capture your moments, your family, your friends, and the start of your life together. Best wishes! Enjoy the Highlight Feature…

April and Jared

Peshtigo, Wisconsin
When you have the means, the skill, and the heart, you can do anything. And April and Jared certainly proved that at their August wedding in Peshtigo, WI. Want somewhere unique and dreamy for a ceremony site? Why not build a dock and pontoon alter? Need someplace for people to dance? Why not build a dance floor? Planning on getting married on a wild and stormy day? Why not wear boots and khakis and have umbrellas at the ready? Because nothing is going to stop this couple. Best wishes, April and Jared. Thanks for inviting us up to your folks’ place to capture the first few hours of you building your marriage!

Emily and Josh

Hubertus, Wisconsin
What can’t we get enough of? All the looks exchanged on Emily and Josh’s dreamy wedding day in August. From that first look between Emily and her dad in the church hallway, to that eye-popping, head-shaking disbelief on Josh’s face as his bride came down the aisle, to the glances Emily tossed up through her lashes to her husband during their first dance, this was one expressive day! And oh were we so happy to be a part of it. St. Gabriel’s Parish in Hubertus, WI provided a beautiful, open backdrop for the ceremony, while the Chandelier Ballroom perfectly blended the rustic-chic style of the day. Shout out to Richfield Historical Park for an amazing photo/video location! Emily and Josh, you clearly have other people’s best interests at heart, especially your new spouse’s. Congratulations and thank you for letting us be part of your day. Best wishes!
